thought it’d be great if I could pen my thoughts down somewhere every now and then…
had a brief talk with my mum the other day. she shared with me something she observed. she said: “Nobody’s born better than the others. Life is all balanced and fair for everyone.”
In some way I agree with her. To put this into perspective, it’s best to illustrate with an example. Friendship, let’s say. This person you’ve met, is always surrounded by friends in school. On facebook, 500 friends wishes him a happy birthday on his hatch day, and on Twitter his tweets are mostly retweeted or replied. He is so damn popular. Really? … I always believed the amount of time you spend with friends are typically similar from one person to another. The attention given to each friend, then, is minimised the more friends that person have. And with less time given to each friend, chances are the likelihood of the friendship developing into something fruitful is so much lesser. Hence the wider your social circle, the less probable those friendships will last long. Alternatively the lesser friends you have , the more time you have per friend, the longer those relationships will last. It’s what I meant by BALANCED.
Instances akin to the analogy above are almost everywhere in life. That is just one example. my thoughts are all jumbled up right now, probably I’ll do a follow-up post once I’m back on Earth.
